Volunteer Requirements
Volunteering is an important part of helping all not-for-profit organizations operate. The NWR members contribute over 6000 hours of Association volunteering annually to ensure our association can operate effectively.
- All families are required to complete at least 8 hours of Association level volunteering per athlete, up to a maximum of 16 hours per family.
- Association volunteering opportunities range from board positions and key planning roles, to various 2-4 hour shifts at association run tournaments and events, bingos, casinos, and helping with evaluations.
- Team volunteering is also expected and does not count towards association level volunteering. Coaches, Team Managers, Team Treasurers, EGRT team representatives and minor official roles at games do not count towards the association level volunteer requirement.
- While the association prefers your time over money, there is an option to choose a volunteering buy out fee of $350 per 8 hour association volunteering commitment during registration. Team volunteering is still expected.
